Buying a 32inch LCD TV today @ 8pm....budget is ~40k.

Options considered:
32in LG Scarlet 2.0 - Full hd, 100000:1 contrast ratio, 2.4ms response time, 100hz, USB 2.0, DivX, Bluetooth, sexy looks, only 4cm thick

32in LG Jazz Theatre - Full hd, 100000:1 contrast ratio, 2.4ms response time, 100hz, USB 2.0, DivX, 700w 5.1channel sorround sound with 9 speakers and 2 subwoofers.

Which one to go for? Any other/better options from Samsung, Sony, Panasonic etc.???? Thanx in advance.

Ps: I don't have internet....

The latter one seems fine with speakers and woofers. But I prefer Sony.

I checked its site and noth are priced at Rs 50,000. But considering the festive season, you may get lucky.

I have LG's 32" LCD; it rocks!!! Go for it!!!

Through hardly any diff. in performance; Sony may be 4k more than your budget.

I bought the 32inch Scarlet 2.0 which was too sexy to resist. Secondly, the comparative Sony Bravia model with 100hz was ~60k as quoted by the dealer. Moreover, the LG displays have IPS technology. Try knocking the screen and you'll see the difference...no impact is created on LG displays. It cost me 40k with a HDMI DVD player + 50 movies free.

Nice choice bro. LG panel rocks.

Now that you also have a HDMI (probably upscaled) DVD player; its a good idea to invest in a 5.1ch AV receiver. ;)

^ exactly. Thats what I'm thinking. LG always provides great value-for-money in each of its products. I'm just happy for the fact that now I'll have a TV with a working remote and working controls. :|

It's actually 42k with the offer of DVD player + 50 movies. Without the offer, it's a little less than 40k. Dealers always sell at a price lower than the quoted MRP. I bought from Delhi.

I refuse to believe that. If not, then as friends, it is our right to demand that they borrow a cam from someone to post pics. Maybe they can hire you toofan, as professional photographer! :)
