Right off the assembly line
Hi Guys,
I need a phone with following requirements (in no particular order)

1) Should be light weight and slim.
2) Address book should have photo recall.
3) VGA camera (at least) for requirement 2.
4) Good battery life.
5) I would like to install an answering machine so should be java enabled.
6) Expandable memory so that calls could be recorded by answering machine.
7) Within 7k lesser the better.

Nokia 6300 fits the requirements except for very poor battery life.

Appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

Dude is it possible to have all the games of F305 on G502?:)

most of them that dont require motion sensor will work ... but u mite not be able to play em full screen on g502 because of the difference in screen size

f305 : 176*220
g502 : 240*320

@kkdeep , g502 and 5220xm are slightly over 7k ... if u need it under 7k , try w350 ... also w302 ...

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the replies. I am sorry for late reply. I could not login for many days.

G502 : Looks like a descent handset to me. I enquired about it @ a shop in Commercial street Bangalore. It was out of stock. They said it is a flop handset. I will check up at couple of other places tomorrow.

Nokia XM 5220: I was told that the handset is discontinued. He tried to sell me higher model which was out of budget.

I was suggested the Nokia supernova 7210 (Rs 5700). Everything on the spec sheet looked fine except battery life (2 hr talk time). A google search confirmed my worst fear. This phone is also rejected like Nokia 6300.

F305: Did not like the slider mechanism. More interested in the candbar design.

Nokia N95, N96 : Out of budget.

Thanks for all the replies. I will update after i enquire couple of more places.

The G502 is not a flop handset.
I would second the G502.

PLUSSES:
* A200 interface
* Brilliant screen
* Good battery life
* 3g ready + HSPDA
* Looks Good (Highly subjective)
* Decent to good sound

MINUSSES
* Small speakers, low volume.
* Headphone port comes loose (This is a problem with all SE phones)
* Camera not the best. You will get high ISO noise at night. Brilliant photos by day though.

I would suggest G502 because of the higher 240*320 resolution compared to W302.

As far as G502 is 'a flop phone' is concerned, Nokia 5220 which was released 1.5 months later than G502 has been discontinued. (as told by you) You can probably guess which is better.

Moreover, G502 is the cheapest 3.5G i.e. HSDPA phone which Nokia 5220 lacks. :)

I would suggest you for nokia n95, n96 or SE xperia x1 but not in 7k.
Everyone has the freedom of choice, but not budget. :lol:

I find mobile store to offer good deals.. There is no bargaining.. No service charges for credit cards.. I overall like the service there.. I bought an SE T700 few days ago.. They didn't have the stock.. Wavetel was offering the phone for Rs.39 lesser but I chose to stick with mobile store.. When I said I want it right now, I was asked to wait for 15 mins, and they called up all the nearby branches, and went and picked it up for me and was billed in 20 mins..

Money is doesn't matter if you are getting exactlly what you are looking for. you will become very happy to get wishing stuff. shouldn,t miss for a little bit.
