guys, one silly question

I M buying a Nokia N82 next month. I will either use Airtel or Idea EDGE service on it. Is there any torrent client for Symbian OS? Will it be possible for me to download TV shows like Heroes or House from Torrent in the mobile phone & save to phone's memory card?

I don't have a computer here yet, so I want to know whether I can download 110 MB Videos from Torrents in phone & see in phone.

Just recently got an Nokia N82 Black and i love it and i am sure you will too.

It can also use wifi for faster downloads than Edge.

I use it to download files as big as 750Mb on my 2gb card. I suggest you get yourself a 8gb card if you download a lot.

now, is downloading such big files allowed on Airtel or Idea EDGE Service?

I don't need more then 2 GB Card which is free with phone. I m using 512 MB card with K750i, but even that isn't full.

All I want is to use my phone as a computer.

Yep SymTorrent is an symbian application and its runs on S60 Platform 3rd and 2nd edition and yes it runs on the phone and downloads files into the memory card.

I have used it with Airtel edge and wifi and works perfectly.

I think Utsav here too is downloading stuff over torrents directly on his Symbian phone. So I have no doubt N82 can do that as well. One just needs an unlimited gprs connection.

@gx_saurav - No problems downloading via symtorrent... no file limitation nothing... Just your phone becomes unreachable(You won't be able to receive call & SMS) while downloading is in progress.

Myself I download via Symtorrent.

I can switch to airtel if they give free local & STD SMS like Idea. I really like Idea's phone service.

i will check N82 & Idea EDGE in Delhi. If it is good for me then I will use unlimited Idea EDGEd else switch to Airtel/Vodafone.

I m bringing my computer to Delhi next week & till we get Airtel or MTNL broadband we will be using EDGE in computer for net

Airtel ko bahut loot raha hai Accha hai mein bhi loot raha hu, par tere jitna nahi.

Aur phone unreachable kabhi-kabhi hota hai, har baar nahi. Jab heavy downloading chal raha ho tab hi.

But I think it was my fault, Network selection was AUTOMATIC......
