I came accross this really good windows XP Skin today, known as XPize, although u can use any other skin, but the Windows XP Royal theme given with Windows XP MCE matches best with the this theme

the light installation is only 6 MB, although it doesn't contain 128X128 icons, but that won't be a problem to most

the best thing about this skin, is that it doesn't replaces any system file, insted it simply patches them with new icons, so if anything goes wrong u can simply, reboot in safe mode & unload/uninstall it

it requirs .net 1.1 runtime, but will also support .net 2.0 as the new 4.2 MCE version is compiled with .net 2.0
