xp booting problem

hello frns im havin dual boot of win xp n fedora 3..last nite ven i was transferring sme data to my pen drive...d screen got black ...only cursor was there...i tried to recover it usin ctrl+alt+del n like dat but all in vain...then i restarted my PC..nw it shows

verifying DMI Pool data......
No Bootable partition in table

later on ven i restarted it ..it shows
Verifying DMI pool data.....Update success
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

help me!!!!

Hmmmm no reply here. Well do what it says if you have the installation disk insert it then reboot then run the fixmbr command under recovery console (not the automated system recovery), thats as far as i can suggest. See if it helps.

Only some days ago I came across the message:
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
The reason behind it was that IDE cable had loosened a bit i.e. connection from HDD couldn't be established and the owner hadn't given the CPU any jerk or somethink like that.
So try it once,hope it'll work. :)
