Hi guys,

my friend purchased a Core2Duo E4400,

he has an intel D945PAW mobo, its socket type is LGA775,

now my question is will this mobo(Intel D945PAW) be compatible and support the core2duo E4400?

and what kind of fan should be baught bcos the box packed fan does'nt fit in the slots,

plz have a look at the mobo and tellme, its pretty urgent.

I did see it... LGA775 heat sink would fit is i soppose as the picture looks odd only may be because the Socket is titled a little so one may feel that LGA775 sotck HSF wont fit it... how ever did u try ur self ?? as I feel they would just fit in fine !!! :D

One confusion for me after seeing that BTX mobo.. why is the layout so differenent? looks like is to be placed opposite to the normal orientation. Can these mobos be placed in a normal ATX cabinets? Sorry for diverting form the topic.

Yup the BTX layout is very different from ATX to facilitate better air flow...
and Nope the BTX mobos cant be used with ATX cabbys and vice versa..
