For performance, you can buy an R7 5800H powered gaming laptop & call it a day, which will save 2 lakhs as well. Something like this HP Omen:
HP OMEN 15 Ryzen 7 Octa Core 5800H - (16 GB/1 TB SSD/Windows 10 Home/6 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060/144 Hz) 15-en1036AX Gaming Laptop Rs.139990 Price in India - Buy HP OMEN 15 Ryzen 7 Octa Core 5800H - (16 GB/1 TB SSD/Windows 10 Home/6 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060/144 Hz) 15-en1036AX Gaming Laptop Mica Silver Online - HP : Flipkart.com
It has a 100% sRGB display as well. IMO no point in spending more money. After 2-3 years, again upgrade to a new 1 lakh laptop to gain a good performance uplift.

Awesome . Worth for money . Thanks

please suggest some alternatives with slightly lower GPU but other configs are same ?

2) What about AMD 6000 series laptops ?

Wait till jan 31. The announcement of new products begins on jan 4 at ces but they might arrive in summer only.
Workstation laptops worth their money would be asus pro art studio oled 16 and msi creator z16. Asus pro duo series is also contender but their top ends will be over 320k.

Omen is the best value right now because legion 5 pro is over priced and helios 300 11th gen is average performing.
Although the launch dates for first few 12th gen laptops might be clear in coming weeks, this is a very decent pick

Compare this with legion 5 pro on all parameters and then decide if you are ok with 150k plus price range.
Over 200k the top end variant of the above mentioned asus pro art studio 16 oled will be great it will be launching in jan in India.

IMO, new laptops will launch in March if announced in Jan (likely). Will be overpriced initially, as all new things are.

There are cheaper laptops with R7 5800H & say GTX 1650, but you will take a hit on display as well, will be 65% sRGB vs 100% sRGB. The display is important for many productivity tasks, so maybe fill the new laptop questionnaire & let us know your requirements & budget.

Triton isn't worth it as well because there's an Omen at 155k with RTX 3070 & QHD 165Hz panel. Also R7 5800H easily beats i7 11800H in productivity tasks at lower wattage like 45-60W. I think i7 11800H matches R7 5800H at around 70W and then overtakes it (both running at 70W) which is not something these thin laptops will do because of thermals.

In a facebook channel I read that the RTX 3060 in this laptop is not a fully powered RTX 3060 (ref attachment)

HP Omen lacks dynamic boost, runs 3060 at 100W. Dell G15 is hot, so not recommended at 115k & Legion 5 costs 125k+ (it is good, my friend bought it for 125k during last sale).

Omen runs CPU at 35W & GPU at 95-100W on combined load whereas Legion 5 runs CPU at 45W & GPU at 115W. If you want bit extra performance, get Legion 5. Legion 5 has MUX switch as well, so with laptop display, that helps with higher fps in games. Omen will connect dGPU directly to ext monitor with HDMI or type C DP port. Also, back in Jan, Omen was 105k frequently vs 110k these days.

Thanks

So Low watt means low performance i.e low fps when compared to fully powered 3060, right?

Why are looking at gaming performance? Do you need it for gaming or for rendering?

Sent from my Poco X3 Pro using Tapatalk
For both

Primarily for rendering and game development using Unreal Engine 5

Some gaming like GTA v , RDR2 , As crd

Some performance difference, yes. But you can take the call, if upto 10% or so extra performance is worth the extra 15k+. Check graphs properly, has Omen & Dell G15 as well.

Awesome graphs . Not that much difference between 95W 5800h/3060 vs 130w 5800h/3060

I think, may i buy this

For extra 20k , I will be getting 2 TB SSD , good thermal performance , higher refresh rate and ms office ?

Is it right if my bughet raised to 1.3L ?

(Also welcoming equivalent models suggestions)

Above laptop also has a mux switch, so its an extra boost in performance. However the RAM may be botched. You can get extra performance if you replace the RAM.

Ooh

I think it's 2 x 8GB filled . Any 32 GB model available with the same config ?
If 32GB RAM preinstalled laptop exist, avoid, just because of exorbitant price. As suggested above, adding your own RAM stick will be better. You can test your work in 16GB, if its not enough then upgrade to 32GB RAM and sell the 16GB sticks. Do inquire about the warranty terms for opening the back panel and replacing the RAM sticks!

There is no warranty loss for replacing sticks, but keep the original ones while sending for servicing.

And remember to follow guidelines like putting laptop into service mode, removing power cable, and then replacing ram sticks. I know atleast one person in legion discord who destroyed his mobo because he didnt remove power cable.

My friend bought this Legion 5 instead of the 2TB variant because of the QHD panel:

So take your pick. See if you can get someone's amazon CC, as 6k cashback sweetens the deal.
