Wish The Vista?

Hi all,

Hmm... so after I had test the visual looks of VISTA , i thought I must switch to RC1. So i tried the Upgrade Advisor here *www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeadvisor/default.mspx

And the results are stored in the zip file. The disk space is nto a aproblem as i gonna uninstall linux from drive E: . The main things I want to ask you all is what to do about the audio and video card and yeah i dont have any graphic card now. So after hearing the buzz of DX10 , should I wait till the release of it?

I didn't get your question. Are you asking if you should wait for DirectX 10 graphics cards?

There is nothing wrong with your system.
You can install vista.
You will:
> not be able to experience AERO without a dedicated gfx card
>have to change antivirus solutions [try avast]
>you wont need power DVD as windows vista comes with out of the box support for dvds
>sound should work out if you install the correct drivers from your manufacturers site.
>after you install do:
install chipset updates and then update windows so that device drivers get downloaded automaticaly. This is usually required to fix sound problems.

ps: please tell us your hardware configuration.

if u plan to buy a Card... which is a DX10 based card... hell yeah... u need to wait till Dx10 comes out with Vista... not a long wait as Few weeks for vista to come out...
