Wireless doubts

I wanted to make my desktop wireless, so when i went through the digit help book i got a few doubts

1. I already have a usb cable modem for my broadband connection, i wanted to know if i want to make my access to the internet wireless do i have to throw away the cable modem and get a wireless broadband router or is there any other device which i can connect the usb cable modem to so i can get the net connection wireless.

2. Will there be a reduction in the net speed when i connect wirelessly

3. I saw a wireless printer server to connect the printer wirelessly to the Wifi network what should i use to get my scanner also wireless.

4. Is the media decives to stream movies to the TV wirelssly available in india

1) u need to attatch cable modem to to router
ur connect the cable net wire directly to ur router if its suported by ur isp ( most dun require the cable modem )

2) reduction is directly proportional to the no of clients that use the net

3) a wireless print server SHOULD work for the scanner
tho i dunno much
no device separately available tho

4) no not afaik
maybe the creative after finding ... but i still doubt unless u loko real hard ...maybe a small chance
