Now as more and more people are going in for the
AMD Athlon 64 XXXX+ and FX-XX Series of Motherboards

It would be great if we had a 64Bit OS running on to so that
we could get the best of the performance.

I dont know if a final release has come or when is it expected.

All i know is that there was a Beta Release of the 64-Bit WinXP.
But is it working fine has anyone tried the WinXp 64-Bit Beta on
there AMD 64 Processors.

you mean a 64 bit windows os
cuz a few linux distors are already 64 bit
and yeah .. theres still time for windows xp 64 bit
and longhorn os expected to have 2 flavours in it too
xp 64 is scheduled for release later this year
longhorn is scheduled for mid 2006

anything beta from windows isnt worth using regularly
if u wanna test it then fine
besides its illegal unless u have an active msdn subscription
which im sure u dont ;)

Can you give me the list of Linux Distros that are 64-Bit Ready.

Are there any Live CD Distro's to directly test it

All major distro like fedora susi gentoo debian have 64 bit versions that exploit the 64 bit arch of the system. The live cd q is an unknown to me too

Its a public beta test and anyone can download and use it. Its got an expiry date of 360 days. All u have to do is register and get the trial pre-release XP64 bit Professional

Read good reviews about it. So i wuld advice u to try it out
