Windows update failed

hi,
i have winXP with SP2. recently windows downloaded some things from its automatic update. every thing got installed, but one component ie.. "Realtek AC'97 Audio" is giving installation failed. after some time again the icon will showup indicating that one update is yet to be installed(its that same component). even after retrying many times it is happening the same way.

Do you have a pirated copy of XP?? I have one and updates aren't installing lately.......................

i dont think its cos of that am gettin updated

do 1 thing...try updating manually...when update will be finished the remaining updates will be installed automatically(the 1 which is showing up)

once it gave installation completed. so i posted the above message. but after restarting the update icon came back again and the problem is still present.

bro..Realtek AC'97 Audio..are the Audio Drivers for your mother Board...so go to ur mobo's Site..download the Drivers install them..thus next time windows wont update this component......
