Windows or Android / Nokia 820 for 21,209 deal

Wish to know which OS to choose between - Android or Windows for a phone i'm planning to buy
for my sister.As of now I guess, the only drawback that critics have for Windows against Android is the lack
of applications being developed for them. But don't we have all the basic apps made ready for
Windows today? Please let me know if there are further insights which should be known before
making the purchase option

Secondly, can see a deal on flipkart for Nokia Lumia 820 for INR 21,209 . Is this a neat deal?

Check out local store ....sometimes u get great deal from local...
if ur sister are not going to use much apps , then u can go with it....it has show off design..

u can also check out Samsung galaxy grand of 19,800/-....i'm currently using it.....its great despite of having low resolution

2. Display type and size?
3. Form Factor? bar, slider, flip?
4. Preferred choice of brand?
6. What camera option you want? Please specify need for flash, autofocus, front facing camera.
8. Preferred connectivity options (3G, Wifi etc)Please specify clearly.
9. Preferred applications (Flash, Swype, GPS, etc)?
10. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, mails, internet, gaming etc)?

Lumia 820 is a heavy phone(160g)

Better get xperia SP...... even better would be Nexus 4

Nexus 4 would have been great but can't extend the budget to 24 -25 range. Thought of Nokia Lumia 820 figuring that it would be a steal, but now checking on the "weight" aspect I am a bit dubious about it. Again, my sister just needs it as a phone first and then for basic browsing, chatting and clicking a few pics. Now I am thinking of Xperia L . Is the battery performance that bad as written by many in different threads here? And how is Sony's after sale service?

For your sister, Xperia SP is good(if u can get it). Xperia L is also good @ 16k, it has average battery life. Since its for ur sister, u can also consider Lumia 720. It has good camera & battery life. Sony's service is good, check if u have a service centre nearby

Thanks Runjesh. Not from Indore and I am thinking of saving some by opting for Xperia-L .

Got a deal where I can get Xperia L for 15.75K ( with bill). Is that a neat deal or are retailers selling for lower prices?

Got Xperia -L for 15k ( ebay). Pretty neat gadget for the budget , but yes needs a decent battery from Sony (10 minutes video + sound maximum + wifi on (nothing downloading) + backlight on) the battery dropped to 90% ..
