I am facing a problem since last few days where windows device manager shows "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" for my Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS graphics card on an HP Pavilion dv6000....I am unable to play any games or movies....have attached the snapshot of the error....Please help.

uninstall your current gpu drivers, remove the leftover registry entries, files using Driver Sweeper [ Fusion now ], Reinstall latest gpu drivers.
If the issue still exists re-install your OS .. also make sure any of your laptop component is not overheating.

Hi thanks, none of the above worked, guess that the GPU is fried or something, however, the problem came once I had installed Win 8 and updated the drivers.

you took forever to update anyway, did you try with windows 7 - just asking to be sure.

Install the drivers from HP's site. That should fix it.
