Hi,
I have just put together a system with the following Specs:
* Gigabyte GA MA78GM motherboard
* Phenom 9650
* 1GB x 2 Trancend DDR2
* Samsung PATA HDD + SATA DVD RW
OS: Win XP Pro SP2 [Its restarting too frequently to let me update.]
Windows is restarting randomly.
Some times it freezes up and displays a "Recovering BIOS" at POST menu. [The mobo has a Dual BIOS feature]
Other times it boots up normally and Windows shows me a "recovers from error" message. [Pic attached]
The funny thing is this happens when the system is not under load. When I am surfing etc.
Its not a temperature problem. The temps stay well low. I have tried re-seating the ram etc, nothing works. I will put it under stress test and post the results soon.
It was working fine yesterday.
I noticed this problem cropped up ever since I started using the onboard LAN [and installed the driver.] Now that I think of it, the system crashes mostly when I am surfing.
It took me 3 attempts to post this.
I have attached no other peripherals/ cards.
