I hv Windows Vista and Fedora 8 installed on my system as dual boot.I m new to linux So mostly i use Vista. As a windows User,i m always afraid of entry of virus into my system. Most of my time is wasted on scanning pendrives, cds, dwlds etc.So, i want to find out if this thing is possible..

Is there any antivirus which can be installed on linux and that it shud b able to scan the files for both windows virus and linux virus.eg: i dowld a file thru fedora which is a virus in windows platform.I scan that file using any linux antivir and it shud say the file is fine as it is not a virus for linux.i then boot windows and my system is infected. So that new antivirus shud b able to chk that file in linux for virus of windows.in the above case if i had such av i wud have known that it is a virus for windows and so i wud hv deleted that file bfor booting windows.
