Window's 98 se and Me installation prob......

Guy'z,
Plz help me .
My computer (Intel celeron 733 mhz 128 mb ram i82810e) has a problem that u can't install win 98 or me .
the setup run's fine until when it stop's responding at Detecting plug and play devices. After it u can't do nothing except shuting it down.
I have removed all the cards and disabled all kinds of thing's but no go.
Btw win xp and 2000 can be installed .
so plz help me and if u need any more info post it here.

I think yr CD is corrupt, even i faced the problem similiar, but my Rig is very high end whihc is not supported by Win98, but thats not the case with u

Try clearing the BIOS before attempting to install Win 98 or ME. Sometimes the BIOS settings look all right but is screwed up somehow, causing weird problems.

My cd has been changed 2 times i bought a new one and 3 to 4 times i did it from the hard disk but no go.
More over i have disabled all sorts of port's and unnessary things in the bios loaded Fail safe default's and tried optimized defaults .
I also dusted and cleaned the mobo but the prob. is intact.
Ne more replies.....

its the cd i think........... try running the same disk on another system............. i am sure it won't works............ try that out........
