WinAvi Stupidity

well i recently got the .mp4 converter and it was working fantastic! but now,all of a sudden, i tried to convert .mkv files, and the program just stops working. the program can convert those types cuz i've done it before. but whenever i try to convert one of those specific .mkv files, the program says "WinAvi MP4 Converter.exe has stopped working" and then it closes the program. please help

WinAVI MP4 Converter is different from the main WinAVI Video Converter...

Use Either 'Total Video Converter' or 'Magic Video Converter'

Both are best in video converting in any format you like.

ok, but do both of those programs convert files at a smaller size?
