Winamp Format Converter Problem!!!

Hey Guys,

I've had this problem for quite a long time but didn't seek for a redressal till now...

Anyways the problem is this, that when I try to transcode songs from MP3 format to MP4 or AAC format through the Winamp Format Converter, it says 'cannot open encoder' 99% of the time. Only rarely does it transcode to MP4 or AAC format. (I'm talking of the MP4/aacPlus and the aacPlus encoders)

So I've to transcode using LC-AAC encoder. It converts to MP3 and WMA formats without any problem!

So I want to ask, why does this happen? And how can I remove this hurdle?

Hey all...I wrote earlier in the week about a problem with Winamp's Format Converter not being able to open files...Thursday night, I simply reinstalled Winamp, and it works fine now. Very strange for it to quit working, but the reinstall fixed it.

Will see. But I think I've reinstalled it before but it didn't work. Will check again though...
