My digit subscription ends this month and I when I was checking out the offers and calculating costs, I just thought why anyone should subscribe to digit...
The reasons:
1. Look at the price hike for subscription.
December 2004 - sub. price/copy - Rs.66.66* (1 dvd, 1 cd, Digit Patron)
April 2008 - sub. price/copy - Rs.125* (1 DL dvd, 1 cd, Fasttrack)
*Actual offer is 1800rs for a year with 1 gb pen drive. So, excluding pen drive's cost (300rs)
the 1 yr sub. price was calculated as Rs. 1500. All price were calculated for 1 yr sub.
2. As a subscriber I get the copy between 12th to 25th of a month. (The near by stands have it on 1st or 2nd)
3. The digit patron program has been discontinued.
Assuming that the digit patron program cancels the DL provided now, the only extra is the Fast track. But the hike in 3&1/2 years is Rs. 58.34 per copy.
On a year... the hike accounts to 700 rs!!!! which again is 1/2 the price of subscription!!! LOL....
