which PORT is used for voice chat?

for the past 10-15 odd days i v not been able to voice chat thru any messenger.

i predominantly use gtalk and the signal meter keeps fluctuating from 0 to 5 every few seconds.
yahoo voice doesnt work either.

can some one tell me which ports are used by messengers during voice chat?

all given ports on my connection are open... can't understand where the problem lies !!

added:
if the ISP blocks the voice chat ports is there a workaround ??
is there any other voice chat program which allows you to change the port and connect to the IP of the machine you want to chat with directly??

Well, if the ports are blocked, then perhaps you can use a proxy through a specified port.

Open Yahoo Messenger, click on Messenger, then Preferences, then Connection. There you must find some 'Use proxies' option. You may have to also change the Connection setting of IE after this.

I'm on Linux, so I can't try this for you.

thanks for all ur help ... but its too techy for my dad to follow these steps ... if he gets something wrong n that screws his lappy thn its deep trouble.
