which linux to install

im considering installing one of the linux distros that has been coming on the digit dvd over the past few months. however i have never used linux before much less installed it. which one would be the easiest to install and use? i have a P4 1.4 ghz 256mb ram and a geforce4 mx 440

Go for RedHat Fedora Core 3....

If you take a search at this forum, you will find many threads on this topic. Don't wait for people to come and post here. They have already given their opinions. Don't expect them to give it again and again.

I would suggest PCQ Linux 2005 (based on Fedora Core 3) which is coming in March with their issue. I've been using PCQL 2004 and am quite happy with it. Search the forum for the reasons and various counter arguments
