You can also consider Sony CB45 which has a FHD screen or HP dv6-7012tx. But if you want i7 for VMs the Asus is the only option.

if you want to avoid heating issues with laptop then forget Dell & HP. go with others. m saying this coz i had Dell XPS series which is their premium laptop & it had serious heating issues and is now completely dead in just 3 yrs:-x. i had so many issues with it:sad:.

now i am using Acer Timelinex 5830tg(Ci3) for around 8months and have no issues so far yet and completely satisfied with it:doublethumb:. it servers all the purpose, looks cool.
>the best thing about it is it never gets too hot even while heavy gaming which normally any other notebook fails at.
i have played most of the latest games so far like Modern Warfare3, crysis 2, NFS Run, F1 2011 at medium settings & it played them smoothly.

pros-
> too good battery backup(claimed 8hrs but 6hrs practical)
> never gets hot, no heating issues
> looks cool(businees standard)
> good speaker sound
> one USB 3.0 port which can power a device even when laptop is off(tried n tested)
> you get 2yr extended warranty for just rs3000 extra where dell and hp charge around 8-10k.

cons-
> inbuilt battery(not removable)
> reflective display

you can go in for this as it falls in your budget
