Hello..

I bought 10 DVD-R from Moser-Baer (not Pro..it was silver one)

And I m really frustated with its quality....

5 out of 10 DVD has only 35-40% good data (after burning them) & rest 65-60% Bad data
as i checked each DVD in Nero Disc Speed....:(

So much of loss...:x

Pls suggest me some good brand such as sony....of which i can always be believe dat
this brand will not deceive me of its quality...:!:

verbatim and mitsubishi are little bit costly. I too have not bought any of these for couple of months as I use my HDD as primary storage and burn everything into sony media. Just check at any assembled PC dealer

and besides moserbaer is better than sony.
And it seems a problem with lot or moserbaer have gone cuckoo.

I say that because I got a 50 box, ealier my 8x speed burner took 20 minutes or like that and for this set its taking 40-45 minutes and I need to leave all work and sit idle.
Because they give 'No Seek complete error' if I do anything. I got my burner replaced and still same so I googled and found same answer "to use verbatim", seems more like a disc probllem than burner problem. LOL

earlier there was post that explains everything about quality of CD's and DVD's. There was a site that tests DVD media regularly. Don't remember though what it's link is.

i imagine many migh have been in such situations.
after a year of no use, CDs and DVDs develop black spots. my friends call it moss attack!
the cd/dvd gets slow and data corrupted. is there any way we can recover such cd/dvd

also, i find chance of data corruption on DVDs higher than in CDs. Is it correct ?
