Where Do we get prices mentioned in KILLER RIGS section in Digit mag?

I was planning to assemble a new desktop and i referred to the Killer Rigs section in Digit magazine.I was planning to build the Multimedia cum Gaming rig.
The problem is that the prices mentioned in Killer Rigs section are too good to find anywhere.I looked up at ebay(that's where I do all my purchase) and price of none of the component was even close to that mentioned in Killer Rigs

The cheapest is always buying at a local store especially small stores and not the big fancy ones.
Online you will find similar or 1k higher prices.
ebay its always higher than all other sources. ebay is good for deals, not your everyday shopping.
