i just want to know if there is any software (paid/free, free is preferable)
to add watermark to a video file.

hi pals please note that i have to add watermark to a dat file and i failed to do so using virtual dub. so help me

I think virtualdub does add watermark to .dat files as well.
Just check the other setting again
