want to replace geforce 8400 GS

Broken In
I recently bought a new pc
i5 - 750 @ 2.67 GHz
4 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS
1 TB HDD
350W PSU ( that's what my vendor told me)
motherboard - DH55TC
Windows 7

Here is the clincher - Samsung monitor max resolution - 1360x 768

I am planning either a HD 6850 or GTX 460 - budget around 10K
I understand I will have to buy a better PSU - maybe 500W ??
But considering my monitor resolution can I buy a lower end card
Also, what if i decide to upgrade my monitor in the future (say 6 months) to full hd one. will my 6850/460 be relevent then ?

I plan to play games like crysis, burnout paradise, gta4, starcraft 2, etc.

Please help.

Thanks,
Vishal

It's better to buy a powerful gfx fcard as you are going to upgrade your monitor.

BTW, Post your max budget ( GFx card + PSU ) ??

15k is good a budget for GPU+PSU.

Get Corsair VX450W @ 3.5k and HD6870 @ 11.5k.
