    Hi,
Just installed the Visual C++ 2005 express edition from Microsoft. but the only option i get to create a new application similar to the win32 gui application in Devcpp is the one under clr>>Windows form project. I understand that that is the one that uses the common language runtime in the .Net Framework. But that wouldn't work under win98 systems would it??

I read somewhere that we need to install the platform sdk. Any ideas or suggestions?

yeah, so doesn't this ide has the ability to allow us to program in winapi gui programming.

(BTW, win98 does allow installation of .NET 1 i guess but I don't want that hassle on my program's users. )
