I have a large collection of video from various sources (mov/flv/avi/mp4/mpeg3/4/ogg/qt/rm/divx/wma/etc etc.)& they belong to various topics/categories.

I need a video file browsing software to do the following

I need to rename them.
software should show the thumbnail of video
It should allow "move to folder" command
it should play the video internally or externally
search facility by file name or any other method.

Someone mentioned Picasa earlier but I am not so familiar with it browsing video & indexing it in its database. Does picasa do this?

UPDATE
I checked picasa
*picasa.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=23832
it does support video files but in a very limited format.

okay, so about ur requirements.
If you install latest codecs, like K-Lite codec pack, u will see the thumbnails in the normal explorer itself.
Next is playing and able to rename, that Windows Media Player which comes bundled with Windows can do for u, and for that matter most players support renaming of the file.
About the search part, once u allow Windows Media Player to crawl through ur PC and index files to build a library, u can search for any video or audio file by Artist Name, Filename, Genre, album, year , and so on.again, most of the players support this feature.
The last being able to Move to Any Folder, for this, if you install AutoPatcher XP, it lets you do so many tweaks to ur system. So u can have a right click option(context Menu).
So u can right click on any file and select Move To or Copy to, from available options.

So basically, u dont actually need to have any extra player on ur PC..Windows Media Player does the trick, and u can even remove the need of installing AutoPatcher if you can tweak with ur registry a bit urself.

I will explore the possibility of using WMP but I feel a software dedicated for this would be better.
