Usefulness of Touch Laptops

I am planning to buy dell inspiron 15r but struck with the issue of whether to buy normal or touch based laptop.

Will it be useful to have touch feature?

Windows 8 interface is much easier to navigate using a touch display, besides that there are no other useful features that a touch laptop provides because keyboard and trackpad are the primary input devices.(I have a touch inspiron 15R, bought it cuz of the better features)
