[Urgent] Suggest the best Config for my friend for Rs 42K

My friend wants to buy a new PC. He wants the PC to be Core 2 Duo based, 17" CRT Monitor, 1 Gb DDR 2 Ram, a 965 based mobo and he wants a Graphics card within rs 6000 (Included in the total budget). What is the best configuration I can advise him with ? He is buying a CRT monitor so as to save money to buy better hardware.

I will be very thankful to all of you guys if you could point me out about what to give him (he wants the specifications tomorrow).

Another Question, If he buys a DX 10 based graphics card, will he be able to play games based on earlier Dx versions(like 9.0c,8.1,etc) ?

I would suggest

P5N-E SLi
C2D E6750 or E6850 (in problem of budget stick with e6600 or even E6420)
2 GB Crossire 800MHz
250GB SATA-II (if possible 16MB Buffer)
17" CRT LG
8800 GT 256MB (some 13k)
Liteon DVD RW
Find one Good SMPS (around 2 to 2.5k)
Microsoft Keyboard mouse Combo
Creative inspire SPK 5.1 system


as with Rs. 6000 GRFX and 17" CRT and G965 based board and 1GB RAM u dont need 40k they can be bought within 25 to 28 K...

and whats wrong with Hardware section ??

when are u buying ?? as in Local Market may be because of stock issue the proce of P5N-E SLi is very high at 7500 where as it should be around 6.2 or 6.5 MAX... !!! the price should come down in a week as XFX 650i ultra will come to market in that time !!!

Also the ASUS P5B-VM is there for Rs. 7.2k too...

Grfx Card 8600 GT 256 MB XFX for Rs. 7100 + TAX

one personal note, if u have to buy 8500 then thing of 7600 over that card as 8500 is really not a good buy
