Hi friends,
I want 2 buy a laptop with a budget of approx 65-70k. One option is to configure Dell 1520/Dell1720/Dell XPS. What r the other options available? My tentative config is the following:-
C2D T7250 (or thereabouts)
Windows Vista Home Premium or above
At least 2 GB RAM
DL DVD writer
Discrete graphics card (preferably 256 MB)
At least 160 GB HDD
At least 15 inch screen
Bluetooth/Wi Fi/ Card reader/ Webcam

I will be using it as a multimedia centre (music/video), surfing, Email and casual gaming (not very important). I don't travel much, so weight is not that critical a factor.

What r ur suggestions? HP Pavillion/Toshiba/Sony / Lenovo or any other? Please give model numbers. Help will be greatly appreciated.

If u can do with a 13.3" screen, then i'll suggest the Dell XPS M1330, its one helluva sexy tech, jus around 58k, but if the display is ur utmost priority then try the Dell XPS 1710 or wotever, its a gaming rig with a stupenous 17" lcd.
nxt brand up is Sony, though quite expensive than its Dell counterparts with the same config, u've got 2 pay de price for stye. Vaio isshtyle..
i wont go for either HP or Toshiba, bcus the former is too boring and the latter too expensive but sheer class. and lenovo has got a refreshed look but still luks a lot business kind. So Dell n Sony...
Sony's got the VAIO CR range, hav a luk, they r quite gud.

Are u sure??? Dell XPS has option of either Integrated GMA X3100 or NVidia GeForce 8400 GS (128 MB GDDR3) whereas SONY VAIO FZ - VGN-FZ25GN has NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GT which i think is a 256 MB GPU. What do u say ????
