Upgrade from Ryzen 1600/X370

Hi, Its been a long time I've been ignoring need to upgrade my PC as it still pack a punch though its time to upgrade as I prefer to have components in warranty and its been more than 2yrs so I can upgrade now or can wait a bit if needed.
Current configuration :
Ryzen 1600
ASUS Prime X370-Pro
Gskill Trident Z 8GB 3000Mhz, G.Skill Ripjaws 8GBx2 3000Mhz - total 24GB
Gigabyte 1060 3gb
Corsair RM1000X
BenQ 27' Monitor
Gigabyte 120 gb SSD
WD 2TB Black, WD 3tb Purple and WD 4tb Purple. (though I am trying to reduce the no. of HD but for now I have these)

The main usage is to work with lots of tabs on chromium based browsers (Chrome, Cent, Vivaldi, UR etc...) so I've added enough RAM to handle extra load. though 16GB is enough for my need
I hardly get time to play game and thats the reason I've downgraded from 1070 8gb to 1060 3gb though I will upgrade eventually in few months

For now I would like to upgrade my CPU and Motherboard to Ryzen 3500+mobo (I know this is not a real upgrade from 1600 since I never OC or use demanding software's so i think it will be fine... correct me if I am wrong). Also please suggest 250GB SSD as I can sell mine or use in another PC.

P.S. Need a wifi dongle with dual band as my old dongle support only single band and I would like to use dual band.

Budget is not an issue but I don't want to spend on components that i won't use at all. Looking forward to suggestions also if i need to wait for an upcoming component then its fine with me. (like better motherboard or upcoming 4000 series CPU's as this is not an impulse purchase)

Thanks for the suggestion :) I'll buy SSD and Wifi dongle asap but these motherboards look expensive when paired with 11k processor, looks overkill to me.
Should I buy 450 series or wait for 550 as I know any decent 570 chipset will cost somewhere around 18k range.

Since you mentioned no budget so I suggested best option for mobo,it is indeed overkill for your usage but it is a fine mobo for scenarios where processor runs at 70-80%+ load with overclocking too for hours. If you think you will not be facing such scenarios in future then you can go with Buy Online Asrock B450 Pro4 AMD AM4 Socket Motherboard lowest price in india at www.theitdepot.com which is more than enough for typical usage & some mild overclocking.Confirm over phone/email about bios support for ryzen 3xxx processors but it should be there as some members bought this mobo recently from theitdepot & mfg date was Oct 2019 which came with latest bios supporting ryzen 3xxx processors out of the box.

My typical usage for CPU is around 10% load and I've never OC'd till date so any decent board will be good enough for my usage. Though I've never used Asrock board before but have seen people use them without any issues.
Any other option? Also BIOS update won't be an issue for me since I already have ryzen 1600 so can boot and update.
I have seen only few comments that 3500 is better in gaming and have roughly same performance as 1600. Is that the case?

Asrock B450 Pro 4 is the best option under 10k(anything cheaper is far inferior while only better options are from msi which has the worst after sales support currently among all major pc component brands). 3500 has better single core/thread performance so it is overall ~25% faster than 1600 which currently costs ~8200 so your choice if you want to save 3.5k.

Wait for 6-8 months, there will be new CPUs from Intel & AMD and new GPUs from AMD & Nvidia. Most of the launches are expected near June/July.

R5 3500 is not an upgrade. Save more money when you wait till the end of the year. Your current rig is easily powerful enough even for gaming at 1080p.

For gaming, R5 3500 has higher average fps than R5 1600 but lower 1% low values (resulting in more fps fluctuations, which is not good), more pronounced in CPU heavy games like BFV.

Thanks for suggestion I was thinking to sell 1600+mobo for around 13k (5k+8k) as current price have gone down so if I wait and upgrade in 6~8 months i will still be able to sell my existing setup for around same price or slightly lower price (around 10~11k).
Since I am not facing any issues and can easily work with this setup so i will wait.
Thanks a lot for the time guys and its good to spend time reading some articles and knowing current trends (miss old days... but life change for everyone)

You may be able to sell 1600 now for ~4-5k(new one with 3 years warranty cost 8200) but doubt asus prime x370 pro will sell for anything more than 6-7k even now let alone 8 months later.Anyway, good chances that your mobo will last for at least 2 more years. Better run this system for at least 2 years more & then if it is still running, sell it.

lol in 2.5years an 28k combo sells for 11k but anyways, this is what it is. No complains :) What I meant is if i sell now VS sell after 6 months the difference won't be much (maybe 1k less that today) as this setup already reached its minimum price so its better to wait for new generation and upgrade.

Yes if you can wait then it is fine. Btw companies usually apply 33% annual depreciation rule for pc components meaning its value reduces to zero in 3 years in account books. By this logic your 28k combo expected price after 2.5 years should be ~5k :p

Waiting is a great choice indeed, save some more money by then for R5 4600, maybe.

That's enlightening. Did not know it before.

Isn't it 40% for whole year and 20% for 6 months?

Man, here I am trying to use a 1600 for 1440p gaming. Maybe I need to upgrade as well. Where are you planning to sell CPU + Mobo ? Selling second hand is a pain in the ass, buyers low ball like crazy, even if you specify not interested in negotiating..

Did you try techenclave/erodov? Btw it is a good idea to keep your selling price at least 30-40% less than current market price so in case of ryzen 1600 it should be around 6k.

I have tried to sell brand new items with warranty and bill at 40/50 % price but I got offers like 5-10% of the original price.
Items include Google Home, Echo Spot, Kindle Fire HD, etc. This is in Quikr and OLX. never tried selling online. Still have the echo spot packed and unopened because I refuse to sell a 13k device for mere Rs 500-1000
Once a guy straight up started abusing, when I said I'm not interested in negotiating. Some people are truly entitled.
I accepted an offer for an i3 2120 + 4X2 DDR3 RAM + H61 Mobo from ASUS. to sell For 5500. When guy comes to my home to collect, he says he has come from very far, and will only pay Rs 5000. I said fuck off, and he agreed at the original price.
Only smooth deal I've had was selling a brand new APC UPS 600va which I bought by mistake, not knowing the total power draw of a GTX 1080. Guy agreed to buy at 10% less price, he was professional in his attitude, we shook hands and we concluded.
