Ubuntu Gutsy or PCLOS !!

Hi Friends,

I've just come from home installing Ubuntu in my home Desktop. Here AptonCD was a great soul-saver!

I tried many distros, out of those PClinuxOS was best. But it did not have APTonCD or any similar software. So, IMHO it is the greatest drawback in that otherwise great distro.

So considering, APTonCD support, my vote goes for UBUNTU GUTSY !!

Um I thought this thread was whether you wanted PCLOS or Ubuntu. But isnt PCLOS an RPM based distro? I recall a similar tool being available for RPM based distros so you might want to check that.

Yaa, I know Ubuntu is Debain and PClos is RPM based. Thats the issue folks. I like both of them. Both RPM and Debian based distros have some advantages over each other. The only glaring thing missing in RPM based distros is 'APTonCD' look-alike.
