two OS running on one system at the same time ??

is it possible to have two OS running on one system at the same time ??
i v heard it is possible i dunno exactly how.
i want linux/Sun Solaris and windows XP running at the same time on my system.
my system specs
ms windows xp sp2
intel pentium D cpu 2.66 Ghz
512MB RAM(mite need 1gb i think)

go for atleast 2-3 GB RAM.. windows xp 32-bit can't detect more than 3.2 GB RAM.. and try virtual box.. its the best

Not really. 266 MHz is the basic clock frequency. DDR (1 or 2) effectively operates at twice the clock freq., so your memory is usually called DDR2 533 MHz.

You can buy and install 667 or 800 DDR2 RAMs, but they will run only at 533 speed for two reasons : Your motherboard supports only up to 533 MHz type memory. Even if your mobo supported faster memory, it will still run at the speed of the slowest memory installed unless you remove your present 512MB/533 RAM.
