I don't know how to explain my problem. But i'll tell you what i know...

Whenever I switch ON my system, I can't see the motherboard boot screen.
1st i thought there was a problem with the monitor. So I connected the monitor to another system, but it worked fine.
I opened my cabin and switched on the system to see whether is there any problem with the mother board components.
DVD drive, HDD, cabin fan, processor even Mother board LED works fine.. But I can't see the BOOT screen :'(
My friend told to remove and re-insert the CMOS battery... Nothing happened..
I bought a new CMOS battery... Nothing happened... :'(

I don't know what is the problem in my system. Pls help me frnds...
My Config:
Intel Core2Duo, Asus P5KPL AM/PS, 1.5GB DDR2 RAM......

If my guess is right, I think there is something wrong with the BIOS chip. :/

check with a single ram module on both ram slots .. repeat the same for the other ram module. See if you a borrwo a gfx card from friend for testing purpose.

The screen itself is blank....
I can't see the start up motherboard screen...

have you checked with your rams as said by topgear? try a single ram at a time in different slot.
else use bios jumper located in your motherboard(if there is any)

it's easier to remove and remount the CMOS battery to clear out CHOS setting rather than using jumper ;) so Op should try that. @ OP - after removing the cmos battery [ you'll find a big battery on the mobo ] just keep it aside for say 5 mons and then put it back again.

Now I can see the boot screen.. But now here comes a new problem.. :(
My HDD is not being detected.
Before the problem...
Master PIN was connected to my DVD drive and slave PIN was connected to the HDD.
Now the problem is DVD drive is detected, but not my HDD :(

are you using a Sata / IDE HDD ? If it's a IDE HDD remove the DVD drive, set the jumper to Master / Cable select mode and try.
