Use either air blower or paint brush. Do not use anything wet.

i tried a paint brush but i see some thermocol on its base.

i need something to clean the contacts and also to extract the bits so that the card fits in properly.

if you have tongs (small ones), you can use them to extract thermocol bits
    but be careful

I'd advise against using a paint brush. The hair can get inside the slot. I'd advise you to buy a can of compressed air and use it to clean the slot. In fact you can use this to clean any electronic component inside the computer.
