1 Nokia N95
29/09/2006

It's hard to pigeonhole Nokia's flaship multimedia device, the N95, as a mobile phone. Due in April 2007, it combines a quadband handset (with support for 3G and HSDPA networks) with a GPS navigator and mapping application, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, a Web browser and a whole lot more.

2. LG Chocolate KG800
31/05/2006

Despite its Chocolate moniker, the LG KG800 is a glossy piano-black slider phone with glowing touch-sensitive red controls below the screen.

3. Nokia 6288
28/11/2006

A squarish slider with a focus on business and video, the 6288 is a repackaged version of the 6280 that addresses a few of the original's shortcomings.

4. Sony Ericsson K800i
02/03/2006

Sony Ericsson has thrown down the gauntlet with the 3.2-megapixel Cyber-shot K800i. We've crowned this the best camera phone so far in 2006, but the bevy of extra features and ease of use make the K800i a good choice for first-time 3G users.

5. Nokia N73
10/05/2006

Nokia's N73 is one of the best camera phones we've seen this year, with a wide range of multimedia and business features tucked under its belt. Responsiveness, however, is not a strong point.

6. Nokia 6233
14/02/2006

A stainless steel design hits Nokia's 6233 -- a 3G-capable candybar-style phone with a 2-megapixel camera, music player, video ringtones and a QVGA display.

7. O2 Xda Atom Exec
20/06/2006

An incremental upgrade to the Atom, the Atom Exec is an incredibly feature-rich, well-designed smartphone.

8. HP iPAQ rw6828
03/03/2006

The BlackBerry for non-corporate users who require extensive multimedia capabilities, in addition to push e-mail.

9. i-mate JASJAM
20/12/2006

The JASJAM offers a familiar i-mate smartphone experience with the added bonus of Next-G connectivity.

10. Sony Ericsson W810i
25/05/2006

The W810i is Sony Ericsson's follow-up to the W800i Walkman mobile phone. It comes with a 512MB Memory Stick for music and a 2-megapixel camera for photos and Bluetooth -- thankfully, the phone is black this time around, not orange.
