Introducing Microsoft’s Next Generation Xbox
Over the next few days, Microsoft’s Next Generation Xbox will be introduced to the world. Gamers will get the first official look at the new console, and learn about the Xbox vision for the next generation—one that ensures that the user experience is always connected, always personalized, and always in high definition.
This Thursday, we unveil on MTV channels around the world. Next Monday, we hold our Xbox Briefing in Los Angeles to kick off our E3 activities. Employees can take part in both events by tuning in live, or by watching an on-demand webcast.
MTV Broadcast -- Xbox: The Next Generation Revealed
This exclusive special will feature never-before-seen games, a peek into the future of Xbox Live, backstage celebrity interviews, and exclusive videos on the making of the new platform. Entertainment icon, seasoned gamer and Xbox fanatic Elijah Wood (of Lord of the Rings fame) hosts the show, with performances by The Killers and Snow Patrol. The show was filmed last week at an elite nightclub in Los Angeles. The celebrity guest list hints at the power of the Xbox brand in popular culture. Dozens of famous faces—including Ashlee Simpson, Chris Kattan, Alyssa Milano, Utada, Scarlett Johansson, Robbie Williams, and Tony Hawk—were awed by what they saw.
Partnering with MTV allows us to tell our story directly to consumers worldwide, all within a 24-hour window -- a first for the video game industry. It’s just one way of demonstrating that we’re breaking new ground. From the design of the hardware, its technical capabilities, and the amazing games and services in development, to the way we’re marketing to consumers, we’re about to change the way people think about entertainment!
