It appears that LG owns the most LTE patents followed by Qualcomm.

I must say LTE is not 4G as all big companies advertises. It still comes in 3G or 3.75G

LTE advanced is real 4G

On LTE device segment Huawei/ZTE/Samsung rocks on dongle, while HTC/LG/Samsung/Motorola and others almost all MNC are in LTE smartphone market.
