address 202.5.8.16,
i don't know how it is calculated?

this seems to be simple binary conversion ..
nothing to do specifically with tcp/ip

11001010 => 2^7+2^6+2^3+2^1 = 202
00000101 => 2^2+2^0 = 5
00001000 => 2^3 = 8
00010000 => 2^4 = 16

you do know about binary dont you !!

this reminds me of the joke !
"there are 10 kind of people in this world,
those who understand binary and those who dont !"
:)

There r many good books on tcp/ip in the market, like Special edition using TCP/IP etc. But one easy book is 'Sams Teach Yourself TCP/IP in 24 Hours'.

Internetworking with TCP/IP by Comer is however recommended if u want to have in-depth knowledge.

But if u r low on cash, (but high on bandwidth !!!) may b u can visit *www.w3schools.com/tcpip/tcpip_intro.asp for some online tutorials!!!! 8) 8) 8)
