If i m right when ur CPU is switched off there is no way it can restart on it sown so wake up can only be used to wake from stand by mode

Well, yes there is:
You can adjust your time of booting via the Power Option in your BIOS.
I'm not sure if it works though.
You have the option of a one time wakeup, a regular wakeup or a daily wakeup at a specified time.
Savvy!

i'm using PC shutdown and AutoPCShutdown... and its brings to wakemode from stand-by.... its working fine.... but if you want to make the PC on... sorry no idea....

@ramprasad.. can you make a pc on through LAN if that pc don't have the power switch on? you can directly make shutdown, resume from standby with pass, installtion, abort or totally control a PC over lan...

I use "auto power-on and shutdown" and also "scheduled task" to power on my PC. YES I can power on my pc after shutdown using "scheduled task". i use the features reguarly, well almost everynight for downloading from dataone :D.

"auto poweron and shutdown" lets you test for auto poweron. Give it a try.

It would be greatly appreciated if you can ellaborate on how to go about this.

Actually, I am extremely poor at scheduling tasks as I have never done so.

So please a step by step explanation will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Godsownman.

Schedule Your Pc to turn on Automatically

I will tell how to scheduele Your PC to turn on automatically at 2:00 AM and shutdown at 8:00 AM for

DataOne users.

I Will give two methods.

1. Using "Auto Power-on and shutdown" software (Very easy)
2. Manually configuring using Scheduled Task

1. Download and install the free 30 days trial of "Auto Power-on and shutdown" from

here .Restart pc if required.

2.Now in the Power on TAB select everyday for Power on date.

3.Next enable power on time and set the time to H:02 M:00 S:00 i.e., 2:00 AM

4.Enable shutdown time and set it to H:08 M:00 S:00 i.e., 8:00 AM

5.Click OK (Important)

6.Now you will get a dialogbox asking to select a setupmode for power on. Select "Setup automatically"
and click next

7.In the next dialog select "Test now" and click OK. Now the system will hybernate, and will turn on

automatically after a minute. Select OK in the next dialog box.
