Hello all
When I run an antivirus application or a spyware application , a blue screen appears (having something like system resources overload or something like that). At that instant the computer restarts and windows give a message that system has encountered ome serious problem and that it has recovered from it. Can any one tell me how i can stop this from happening? Is it a virus doing these things? Please help me recover from this problem.

When i ran my antivirus during boot up an error came up saying:
IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
and .................. something more
the technical info. given was:
***STOP:0X00000002,0X00000000,0X804DC19F
Can you please help me to get rid of this?
I have avast home edition (latest) and Ad-aware SE personal
Is it because I have 2 antivirus programs in my computer? or is it caused due to some virus

the screen that u get is Called Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). It occurs due to a number of reasons like faulty RAM module, newly installed device drivers or Virus, overheating of proccessor or faulty SMPS.

Scan ur system with a good Anti-Virus, if no virus found, uninstall any new device driver or software and see if the problem persists. Then get ur RAM, proccessor for overheating checked.

Most probably its due to a faulty RAM module.

First of all as Shwetanshu pointed out , check your RAM module , even then if the problem is not solved it may be due to Drivers , in that case you need to format your machine and reinstall XP .

What you got is every Win Users almost daily usage of BSOD
1)Disable Automatic System Restart
2)Their might be a hardware conflict, reinstall all drivers like of Graphics Card, sound card etc
3)Check if your RAM module is connected properly
4)Run the memtest86 to see if your RAM is damaged or not
5)If all of them fail, report here
