    Symantec, next to McAfee, has been the key voice in criticizing Microsoft's decision to lock down the Windows Vista system Kernel and provide less access to one of the core elements - which could result in incompatibilities of the operating system and some antivirus software packages.

    well, i m staying away from symantec on Vista, using KAV 6 on XP these days, no slowdowns or problems, & soon Kaspersky is gonna relese it for Vista too

    more then that i m in need of a firewall, ZAP & Outpost both don't work

    BTW, Nod32 is compatible with vista! Also KAV has a beta which is compatible with vista.
