suggestions wanted for a new system config

As suggested I am posting this as a new thread. I need some advice on a system i am planning to build. I am not building a completely fresh system as i am using some old components. The primary usage for this PC is normal office work , regular entertainment and occasional gaming. NO specific BUDGET in mind. Need some recommendations on components not yet finalized or even existing ones. All help welcome.

1. The purpose of the computer?
A: A general multi purpose computer with Extensive Web Browsing, Excel and power point usage, encoding videos for personal media players , occasional Photoshop, web design, occasional gaming,

2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A: Yes

3. What is your MAX budget?
A: 50 K for components not already bought but could vary it by a bit

4. Planning to overclock?
A:just for kicks not on a regular basis

5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A: Windows 7 home professional (primary), ubuntu (occasional), and hackintosh(testing) (planning to multiboot)

6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A: i already have around 2 TB of internal storage and similar external storage

7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want? If you already want have one and want to use it, mention its resolution and size.
A: i would like to run at full HD 1920 X 1080p for video viewing 1280 X 720 otherwise

8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)
A: 5-6

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A: i have done it before but not a i7

10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A: with in 2 weeks

11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?
A: not exactly future proof but i dont want to buy a new system for around 2-3 years

12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention.

sms, provide the info correctly, You've mentioned that you already have a 2 TB internal and similar external storage. So storeage should be excludaded from the config but in the question 12 where you are asked to provide components not to be included you've mentioned nothing.

i mentioned in my post that i already own components in bold and that the budget mentioned above is primarily for processor mainboard graphics card.
i have edited the post and moved the components above. the reason i had put them there was if somebody wanted to suggest a better alternative i would have gone for that
