Suggestions for a netbook

My friend want's to buy one, i have no ideas about netbooks, so i'm putting it out to you'll
Budget: 18k(including vat and all taxes) can be increased upto 20k but he would prefer to spend less.
His only requirement is 2 gb ram
and he want's to buy it in a week.
So what is the best and the most reliable netbook available?
Is fusion available yet and if it is how much will it cost?

dell inspiron M101z. not very good in comparision with the others mentioned above though (personal experience). IMO, go for one of the ASUS eepc's given above. they're good

^^ Its got some heating issues Afaik. Better for op to wait for Amd zacate based netbooks. I am waiting for one as well.

HP and Dell are kind of n00bs in netbook department. I like sammy and ASUS netbooks coz they come with better specs like dual core Atom, better HDD, bluetooth 3.0, 802.11n etc. I don't trust Acer as their service is downright pathetic.

Are samsung and asus good with there servicing ? I don't feel confident going with them as we live in a small city , bhilai. Whether there will be issues in finding a service centre etc.

^^ buddy wait for amd zacate nebooks. They are too good and will perform much better than any atom based netbook you buy now and that too at the same price point.

If you cannot wait then try out asus eepc , acer aspire one or dell inspiron mini. But all of these pale in comparison to upcoming amd e-350 based zacate netbooks.

love your enthusiasm to help out people... but do check out the date of the posts before answering them, don't dig out old threads... these posts are a month old...
my friend bought the samsung n148 and got the ram changed to 2 gb , the cpu is atom n550

anyway, do keep posting and welcome to the forum
