Suggestions for a Basic Home PC upgrade

Okay, so I intend to have a dual boot option.. Windows 8.1 & 10..
How should I go about with the partition / OS installation(s)..?

Also, I will be retaining my existing old 160 GB SATA HDD as a secondary storage .. (Not that I intend to have an OS on this decade old drive..)

Again, thank you all for your time & advice. .

i think windows takes up about 150gb for one OS ,
if the user is using it for very basic needs i suggest u try burning linux mint or zorin os(both are linux based oses) and trying it out , u can get better performance and 0 bloat

Waste of time and storage space. Just use windows 10, get it from microsoft and use it unactivated forever (without cracking) if you don't have a license.
i think windows takes up about 150gb for one OS ,
Windows folder takes about 24GB on my laptop, consider same amount for Programs files folders and other system files (not including games or user files). So, 50 GB should be enough for a "basic" setup and remaining space can be used as required.
