Well known brands like Dell, Sony, Lenovo, HP...

4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
He's a bookworm & nerd. Not going to play games with it. Mostly MS office & browsing I suppose.

5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
Can manage with1366x768 but anything better than that would be great..

6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)

Prefer windows 8 and touch would be an added advantage..

Dell India website has touch notebooks with paltry ratings, is touch notebooks that bad??

Has any haswell powered laptops within this budget range released in India?
