I don't think so they are overpriced and overweight.
Hmmm about battery there were issues in old models but not anymore.
I may sound like a fanboy but I just share what I feel and have experienced.
The only thing which I don't like about HTC is that they don't concentrate on sound quality(specially the earphones sound).It is just ok not very good.But apart from that,the performance,screen and everything is very good.

Look at the current HTC lineup. all are overpriced by at least 1k. Wildfire S cost 13k. Chacha cost around 14-15k. Salsa has vanished. Desire S priced above 20k. Sensation XE again priced way over at 30k. i know HTC pay royalties to M$ but so does Samsung. Other than Explorer which offers excellent performance for a low price, all other mobile are priced way higher. What i mean is most HTC mobiles never saw a pricecut. Most are launched at ridiculous high prices & after pricecut, they still feel overpriced
