Suggest replacement MOB for an Intel PC

Hi Friends,

I need your suggestion , One of my friend's PC crashed today , it seems MOB is dead.
It is 4 year old system , with Intel Core 2 duo 2.4 GHZ which had :
Intel® Desktop Board D945GCPE ,is it possible to find a replacement for this MOB
in market ? I am from Mysore.
I tried online but no where could find such an old Mob.

Please suggest alternate mob for this pc .

It's Intel E6600 processor, Better you get a Gigabyte G41 motherboard. Local prices around 3k.

Thanks for your info, I was worried if the suitable mob was hard to find and also was in a perception I need to get any mob with D945XXX version itself.

Everything depends on socket. Your's is 775 socket processor. Now there are not enough options for old-day processors (only G41 chipset),
locally you'll find some more brands like asrock/ecs etc. I recommend gigabyte.

Thanks for the suggestion , Technoholic, Would you please recommend a mob which can accept ddr3's , as any way buying a new mob , if I ask him to buy a new one, it can run on ddr3... Pls suggest
