Suggest Me a Phone Under 15K?

I want a new mobile for around 15K. I will prefer nokia with Symbian OS.

I need a good Camera in the Mobile Phone with decent music quality. I will use it for a year or so, after that I will replace it with a new one so it must be a good value for money.

I shortlisted N79 and 5800 Xpress Music. Please help...

GR8 5 MP Camera and awmsome music player with long battery backup :razz:

only drawback is 2.2" screen as N79 got 2.4" :cool:

^^^ Symbian makes 2x better the phone... I would have gone for 5800 without thinking... you can go for N79 if you need a good camera though

yes. N79 has a better camera. But it has that i-have-seen-this-phone kind of design. 5800XM has bigger display, better processor, more memory, more storage space, touch Symbian UI, bigger battery.

camera: N79 has 5mp and 5800XM has 3.2mp. Given the quality of these cameras, does that make a difference?

and yes, if camera is a priority, then C905 is much better option right? it has 8mp camera and all the features that N79 has.

Actually I need a Good Camera phone with Symbian OS. 5MP in N79 is gud enough for me and it also fits my pocket.

I read in some reviews that the UI of 5800XM is bit sluggish and the camera quality is not that gud. is that so ??

the first release of 5800XM's UI was a bit sluggish and it should be fine now. if N79 camera is good enough for you and if it doesn't matter whether it has touch or physical keys, go for N79

Actually I want a camera phone with a camera more than 3MP. Though I like touch screens but the features provided in N79 are better than 5800XM. Don't you think so ?

I haven't noticed it being sluggish ... Its just irritatingly inconsistent at times ... And yes, occasionally there are brief periods when the accel. meter has the display in portrait when u want it the other way around.

I'm sure there are no inconsistencies with the way the n79 feels... used a 5320xm so I know ...

But apart from the drawback mentioned above, the fone is a winner in all other departments ... music movies surfing ... the cam does give some washed out pictures at times

I want a mobile which have better picture quality. Megapixels doesn't affect me too much. Over 3MP should be fine....that's why I shortlisted these two phones. I am confused...

Where do you buy cellphones? Ant good retailer you know of? I am buying my first mobile in a few days and don't know where to buy it here for good rates in bangalore.

Have you look in National Market at Majestic,there are a lots of new and used phone there..(i bet they even resale my Nokia N70 which was stolen by a thief while am on my way to SP Road..am still angry when i think back the time i've got robbed..plus i get the phne at 18k..neway its a long time back so who cares..hehe:))

i recently bought N79 for 15.2k from nokia priority and got 2 4gb cards. By the way, its camera is really good. except u have few bugs as most nokia phones have. Like the backlight time cannot be extended. In 8 secs ur screen light goes off. So u get annoyed while reading bigger messages etc..
